Officials from Brownsville asking people to submit/report areas which is being heavy mosquito infested places as crews start pest control efforts after heavy rains.
Art Rodriguez (Public Health Director) said residents, People have to clean the buckets & bird feeders or anything that sustain/hold water to interrupt the production of mosquito eggs/larvae which prosper in stagnant water.
Rubber tires plays a vital role in the production of mosquitoes , are a particular nuisance.
Rodriguez said, as their pattern makes them close perfect mosquito larvae incubators.
Old or unused tires should be recycled or through out the environment to protect you from mosquito bites.
Rodriguez is working to remind people that the bloodsucking mosquitoes could cause more damage than an itch.
He said City crews also working to fight against mosquito population.
